August Residency at Silverlake Lounge Announced!
We are pleased to announce The Ross Sea Party is your resident band at Silverlake Lounge for the month of August. We teamed up with The Fold to curate five amazing nights of music! Yup, count ‘em, that’s five Mondays: 8/1, 8/8, 8/15, 8/22, 8/29
Best part . . . it’s FREE!
We’ll be performing some surprise covers, as well as new tunes from our upcoming LP. The month-long celebration will feature some of LA’s finest bands and, not to mention, special DJ sets from residency sponsors Chuck P (KCRW), Kevin Bronson (Buzz Bands LA), Mo Herms (Moheak) and Mara Schwartz (Bug Music)!

Radio Free Antarctica: RSP on Moheak Radio
As I write this post I am listening to moheak.com: “The best radio music in the world,” as one of their DJ’s just put it — and he ain’t lying. Moheak Radio was created by TK (formerly Indie 103.1) with deepfriedproductions.com. Many of the radio hosts from those golden “indie radio” days are now on-air at Moheak.
We got to sit down with the lovely Mo Herms for an in-studio interview last Monday to plug our recent show with The Californian (the last night of their June residency at The Satellite). Tucked away at the station’s secret location, we had a blast talking music and sharing our own. There’s no substitution for a good disc jockey and it’s hip gals like Mo who are a testament to the fact that radio, while ever-shifting, will never die. Word is bond.
